(1) Keep running with water.
Under normal circumstances, the water dispenser should be filled with water every 2-3 days. When the water tank is short of water, it should be replenished in time. Dry burning not only easily damages the water pump, but also has potential dangers to cats.

(2) Regular cleaning.
With the longer use time, it is very easy to leave impurities such as scale on the inner wall of the water dispenser, and it is easy to contaminate the water source. Therefore, it is generally recommended to clean the water dispenser at least once a week. Especially in summer, you should clean the inside of the fuselage and the filter element every 2-3 days to keep the water clean.
(3) The filter element should be replaced in time.
Most pet water dispensers use the filtration mode of activated carbon and filter elements. Since activated carbon only has the effect of physically adsorbing impurities, it has no sterilization effect. Therefore, over time, the filter element is easy to breed bacteria, and the filtering effect will also decrease.
So in order to keep the water clean, the filter element should be replaced every few months.
